Unit renovation project on the Gold Coast

This full unit renovation at Burleigh Heads has been completed creating an amazing transformation.

This unit in Gemini Towers overlooking the beautiful Burleigh beach has been brought back to life from the original build some 20+ years ago.

Everything was completely stripped out and we started from scratch. Our client had a 7 week window to renovate and refurnish to get it ready for holiday bookings – which is a very quick turnaround for a project of this size.

This renovation had the added challenge of noise restrictions plus it was on the eighth floor. We could only use power tools between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm which hampered our progress but we were able to have work completed within the time frame required.

These old Burleigh Heads bathrooms were transformed into stylish high-end bathrooms with a wow factor to match the beautiful kitchen.

Vinyl plank with acoustic underlay was used on the entertainment areas with carpet in the bedrooms.

Points to consider when renovating a unit or apartment

• Review if you need approvals, most body corporate have bi-laws. Consult the body corporate manager on all related approvals.
• Give yourself time to plan everything out and don’t leave everything to the last minute as this is where the problems will arise.
• Get a draftsman who can help you with drawings and design of the areas you are renovating.
• Make a job timeline of when the noisiest demolition will be, and ensure your neighbours are given notice to avoid any conflict.
• Safety is your number one priority, be safe, not sorry.
